Whilst it is reported that the State Audit Board (DDK) is examining the allegations regarding the fund crisis with a team of approximately 15–20 experts, discussions are taking place within regime circles regarding the steps that may be taken following the investigation.
AKP sources argued that individuals found to have made unjust gains from fund transactions must be identified one by one, whilst stating that President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan would act according to the names that emerge.
According to a report by the Türkiye newspaper, known for its proximity to the government, sources commented: “The President will show no mercy; everyone should be certain of this. He does not distinguish between ‘his man’ and ‘that man’.”

ALLEGATIONS OF CHANGES IN THE CABINET AND BUREAUCRACY
In AKP circles, it is being discussed that following the State Audit Board’s report, Erdoğan may make changes to the party leadership, cabinet and bureaucracy.
Sources, stating that changes are not expected in the short term, noted that Erdoğan will first wait for the investigation to be completed, adding: “Those who know the President are aware that, contrary to expectations, he determines the timing of such changes himself. ‘He will not take action whilst the situation is still heated. He will wait and carry out a thorough assessment. The DDK report will be crucial here. Depending on its findings, he will most likely take a step,’ they added.”
